I just read in the Pattaya Mail the story of Russian Victor Shchigolev, 32, who was arrested Feb. 12 for operating a tourist booth without a work permit. Now while Pattaya is a City known for a high level of tolerance and “laissez faire” working in Pattaya without or even with a work permit may be a dangerous endeavor if you did not paid your due to He-Whom-Must-Not-Be Named or pissed off the competition.
