When you are a foreigner and you want to married in Thailand the process has become far more complicated that it use to be. Firstly I would like to remind you that Thailand religious wedding with the monks has no binding effects. In Thailand, marriage must be registered to be binding.

The Pattaya Mail reported today that, according to sources from several police divisions a serious crackdown on Bar Businesses would begin next month that would target GoGo bars, Beer Bars, Gay Bars and any other bars which are charging bar fines to the customers to let their employees leave work early. Now according to the Pattaya Mail, the police “suspects that many of these rendezvous are sexually related”.

Now that you are getting married will come the time where you will be requested to honor the Thai Tradition of the Dowry system. While in European culture the dowry is more something that has to be paid or provided for by the family of the future wife in Thailand the dowry has to be paid by the groom.

While companies are juristic persons and cannot be as such subject to the punishment of imprisonment it does not mean that a company may not be prosecuted for a criminal offence in Thailand. To the contrary, companies may be prosecuted the same way as individuals.

Introduction to the Visa B

What is a Non Immigrant Visa B

Foreign investors who wish to come into Thailand to conduct a business or to work must first obtain a Non Immigrant Visa B with a Royal Thai Embassy.

The Non Immigrant Visa B will allow you to stay in Thailand for a period of not more than 90 days at a time. This visa may be granted for a single entry or multi entries.
