May 15 2013 Categories: @ Thailand Investment Blog, Thailand Visas & Work Permit No comments yet

This will be my last post on the matter of the content of Pattaya Times Drew Noyes letter to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Updating Laws Affecting Foreigners. Today I’m commenting on another issue that he forgot to deal with in his letter. Nowadays, more and more people are working as independent consultants from their home, or managing websites that brought them a regular income. In other words many businessmen don’t actually need an office set up or to have employees working for them anymore. All you need is knowledge, a notebook and an internet connection and you are in business.

I continue in this post to discuss the content of Pattaya Times Drew Noyes letter to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Updating Laws Affecting Foreigners. Today I’m commenting on  one of the issues that he forgot to mention in this letter that would improve things for foreign businessmen. Now the problem is that when a foreign investor set up a new company he will need time before the company is actually in business and can start to hire Thai employees. In general a company needs around six months to become operational from the time of its incorporation.
