I continue in this post to discuss the content of Pattaya Times Drew Noyes letter to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Updating Laws Affecting Foreigners. Today I’m commenting on  one of the issues that he forgot to mention in this letter that would improve things for foreign businessmen. In order to employ a foreign director a Thai company needs to have 2,000,000 THB paid up capital and 4 Thai employees. Now the problem is that when a foreign investor set up a new company he will need time before the company is actually in business and can start to hire Thai employees. In general a company needs around six months to become operational from the time of its incorporation.
