I continue in this post to discuss the content of Pattaya Times Drew Noyes letter to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Updating Laws Affecting Foreigners. Today I’m commenting on  one of the issues that he forgot to mention in this letter that would improve things for foreign businessmen. In order to employ a foreign director a Thai company needs to have 2,000,000 THB paid up capital and 4 Thai employees. Now the problem is that when a foreign investor set up a new company he will need time before the company is actually in business and can start to hire Thai employees. In general a company needs around six months to become operational from the time of its incorporation.

As you know if you follow my blog I’m keeping tab every month on the readers’ numbers. So the month of March has seen the number of our readers increased again with a number of 13,333 readers and 52,000 page views. Our Alexa traffic ranks went down to 872,560 and Traffic Rank in Thailand is 12,842. Overall we are not yet there but hopefully with your continuing support we will continue to improve our figures every month. Thanks a lot again.

Today I’m commenting on another issue that he forgot to deal with in his letter. Nowadays, more and more people are working as independent consultants from their home, or managing websites that brought them a regular income. In other words many businessmen don’t actually need an office set up or to have employees working for them anymore. All you need is knowledge, a notebook and an internet connection and you are in business.
