The author of this blog, Rene Philippe Dubout, is an accomplished swiss attorney with a background in international business, transactional law, arbitration and an authority in real estate. For more than 10 years, Rene Philippe has been living and working in Thailand were he founded Rene Philippe & Partners Ltd in 2002.
He has lectured on international private law at the Asia Institute of Technology master degree program and is an accomplished speaker that has been invited in many events in Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong. He has published many articles in local magazines.
His books include the must have and well received How to Purchase Real Estate Offshore Safely: The Case of Thailand, which has been nominated for the USA Book News National Best Book Award category business/real estate and has been well received by Thai press and by readers. He is currently working on the second Edition of his first book that shall be published under the title “How to Safely Buy Real Estate in Thailand” and shall be available in November 2009. His second book “How to Safely Do Business in Thailand shall be published in January 2010.

Rene Philippe Dubout is also the founder of DoingBusinessAsia Ltd a new venture which purpose will be ultimately to provide investors with a comprehensive and up to date source of information on how to do business or purchase property in every countries of Asia.
